Parimatch is one of the older offshore betting brands still taking Asian players. It runs a sportsbook, a casino and a live dealer floor under one account, and it has been marketed heavily in India, Japan and Central Asia over the past decade. The brand is not a single company with a single license. It operates through regional domains and offshore entities, and the license that matters for most players outside Europe is the Curaçao one held by Parimatch TH.

That matters because the license tells you what the operator is allowed to do, not what you are allowed to do. Curaçao license: Parimatch TH issued by the Gaming Control Board

The Curaçao Gaming Control Board issued license OGL/2024/2241/1178 to Parimatch TH on March 28, 2025. That is the license behind the Parimatch TH domain, which is the version most Asian players encounter.

Curaçao licensing changed in 2024 and 2025. The old master license system was replaced by direct licenses issued by the Gaming Control Board, and operators had to reapply under the new framework. Parimatch TH's license number follows the new format, which is why it looks different from the older Curaçao numbers you will see on other sites.

What a Curaçao license gives you in practice:

• The operator is registered and supervised by a regulator, but that regulator is offshore and does not handle player complaints from banned markets.
• Dispute resolution usually runs through the operator's own complaints process first, then the regulator.
• There is no deposit protection scheme, no ombudsman and no route to an Indian or Japanese court that will enforce a claim.

Blocked in India: added to the MeitY ISP block list

Parimatch and 1xBet were both added to the MeitY ISP block list on March 14, 2026. In practice, that means Indian internet service providers are instructed to block access to the domains on the list, and the main Parimatch site is not reachable from an Indian connection without a workaround.

India's underlying law is stricter than the block list. The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 imposes a complete ban on all forms of online money games, including games of chance, games of skill and any mix of the two, along with their advertising, promotion and facilitation⁴. That covers sports betting, casino games, poker and rummy played for money.

Older Indian law sits underneath all of this. The federal Public Gambling Act dates to 1867 and bans most forms of gambling, and research on Indian gambling law notes that it made games of pure chance such as Satta illegal while treating some skill games differently⁵. The 2025 Act closed that gap for online play by banning money games regardless of whether they involve skill.

Where Parimatch accepts players: India, Japan and beyond

Parimatch entered the Indian market in 2016 and later attracted around 8 million Indian bettors. It expanded its operational reach across India in June 2021. That growth happened during a period when offshore betting sites were widely advertised in India and before the 2025 Act and the 2026 block list changed the enforcement picture.

Parimatch states that withdrawals are typically completed within 24 hours depending on the method selected⁸. That is the headline figure, and it is on the faster end for the offshore market.

What actually happens is more variable. The 24-hour clock usually starts after the operator's internal review, not when you click withdraw. Most sites run a review step before releasing funds, and that step can add hours.
