Vietnam is a lovely country considered to have one of the fastest growing economies in the world. However, the same cannot be said about its casino industry. The decree giving locals the permission to enter casinos was deemed official last March but not many casinos still do not allow locals to enter since casino operators are still awaiting guidance from the Ministry of Public Security.

In fact, investors have mounted several large-scale projects prior to the issuance of the decree. Currently in the works is the $4 billion Hoiana in Quang Nam Province, set to open in 2019. The development is projected to have a Rosewood spa resort with 25 premier residences and 75 villas, casino resort with 200 suites, and a Robert Trent Jones II golf course.
When it comes to gambling, Vietnam’s ranking is quite low compared to other Asian countries. In 2014, government reports showed that the gross gaming revenue in the country is only a mere $62.3 million. As the country is opened to have more casinos, analysts are positive in forecasting that the annual gross gaming revenue will breach the $3 billion to $6 billion mark.
The Electronic Gaming Clubs of Vietnam
