Who can open a BetUS account

BetUS splits the world into three groups, and which group you fall into decides what you can actually do with an account.

The first group cannot open an account at all. BetUS prohibits account creation and real money play for residents of Belgium, Costa Rica, Croatia, Curacao, France, Germany, India, Iran, Norway, the Netherlands, the Netherlands Antilles, Panama, the Philippines, Romania, Slovenia and the United Kingdom¹. For readers in Asia, the Philippines is the one that matters most here, and India is on the list too.

The second group can open an account but cannot fund it with a credit or debit card. That list includes Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Canada, Bulgaria, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Mongolia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Ukraine and around thirty other countries¹. If you are in one of these places, BetUS says cryptocurrency is the preferred way to move money in and out.

The third group can open an account but cannot use cryptocurrency or credit cards. That list covers Afghanistan, Belarus, China, Cyprus, Fiji, Iraq, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon, Myanmar, North Korea, Sri Lanka, Syria, Vietnam, Yemen and others¹. In practice this leaves bank wire and cash transfer as the only routes, which is a narrow set of options for most players.

A separate list bans account creation outright for players in Belgium, Costa Rica, Croatia, Curacao, France, Germany, India, Iran, Norway, the Netherlands, the Netherlands Antilles, Panama, the Philippines, Romania, Slovenia and the United Kingdom¹. If your country appears on more than one list, the stricter rule applies.

One more restriction worth knowing: BetUS welcome packages are only available to certain states within the United States¹. If you are outside the US, the headline welcome offer is not the one you will be shown.

License and regulation

No license claim appears on the BetUS site. The operator does not name a regulator, a license number or a jurisdiction on its homepage or its terms page, and there is no licensing statement to check against a public register².

That matters for a practical reason rather than a legal one. When an operator holds a license from a recognized regulator, there is a complaints process, a set of published rules about how disputes are handled, and a body that can act if the operator stops paying. With BetUS, the only route if something goes wrong is the operator's own support desk and its own terms.

The terms themselves are written to put most of the risk on you. BetUS states that random number generator software determines the outcome of the games, that taxes on winnings are your sole responsibility, and that it accepts no liability for lost funds, delays or failed transactions arising from incorrect wallet addresses, unsupported networks or tokens, lost wallet access, blockchain congestion or third-party wallet errors¹. Crypto deposits are credited only after network confirmations.

Games and betting

BetUS runs three products under one account: a casino, a sportsbook and a racebook.

The casino has more than 300 games and needs no download². The lineup covers blackjack, poker, roulette, video poker, slots, craps and other card games². That is a normal offshore casino spread rather than a huge one. For comparison, some crypto-first operators advertise libraries in the thousands, and Bets.io lists over 17,000 games⁴.

A second list adds esports such as Counter Strike 2 and Dota 2, plus volleyball, badminton, table tennis, futsal, rugby and cricket². The Asian-market sports on that second list are the ones most readers here will care about.

The racebook is the part with the most reach. BetUS offers betting on more than 150 tracks worldwide, including Australia, England, Hong Kong and Dubai². Bet types include exactas, superfectas and trifectas, greyhound and harness racing, and head-to-head jockey and horse matchups².

You can place wagers on the website or by telephone¹. That phone option is unusual among offshore operators and is worth knowing if you are somewhere with unreliable internet.

Payments: methods, limits and the 72-hour hold

BetUS accepts credit card, cash transfer, cryptocurrency and bank wire deposits². On the crypto side it names Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin and Ethereum, and says it takes all major credit cards including AMEX³.

Two timing rules catch people out. First, a 72-hour hold is placed on payouts after a credit card deposit¹. Second, preauthorized credit card deposits and any proceeds from them are valid for 24 hours from the time of deposit, and if there is no repurchase or transaction within that window the deposit and proceeds are void and forfeited¹. If you deposit by card, plan to play within the day.

BetUS says cashouts are processed in 1 to 2 business days². For context, that is slower than crypto-first operators that advertise near-instant payouts, and faster than check or wire routes that can take up to 15 business days elsewhere⁵. Card withdrawals at other operators can take up to 7 business days⁶.

Withdrawals require your account number, your password and a valid email address, plus copies of the credit cards you used and a valid signed government-issued ID¹. Customers who deposit by credit card must submit clear, legible copies of the front of every credit instrument used to deposit and the front of a valid state-issued ID². Have those ready before you request a payout, not after.

There is also a minimum 1x rollover on deposited funds, which BetUS describes as a rule to prevent financial manipulation¹. That is separate from bonus rollover and applies to your own money.

Bonuses and rollover rules

BetUS bonuses come with rollover requirements that decide whether you can ever withdraw the money.

Referral bonuses need a 5x rollover before cash out. On top of that, the referrer must have made a deposit within the previous 30 days, the bonus must be requested within 48 hours of the referee's first deposit, and the referrer must not have received a payout in the previous 180 days¹. That last condition is the one most people miss.

Wager Back promotions, offered case by case, refund up to $500 as free play with a 5x rollover, based on real money losses on the agreed straight bet or totals wager¹.

Bonus eligibility is also restricted by country. Account holders living in Denmark, Finland, Israel, Poland, Romania, Russia, Sweden, Turkey and Vietnam are not eligible for casino bonuses¹. Note that Vietnam appears on both the no-crypto list and the no-bonus list, so a Vietnamese player who somehow funds an account still cannot claim casino bonuses.

Account rules: KYC, VPNs and dormant accounts

BetUS allows one account only. Multiple accounts, duplicate accounts, linked accounts, or accounts opened on behalf of others are not permitted¹. The same one-account rule appears across the industry, from Betway to Betfair, so it is not unusual, but it is enforced by matching your ID and payment details.

Identity and KYC checks can be conducted at any stage to confirm age and eligibility¹. In practice this means your first withdrawal is when you will be asked for documents, and the request can arrive before that if the operator flags your account.

Using a VPN, proxy server or IP masking service is prohibited, and BetUS says it may close your account immediately and keep your winnings if it detects one¹. The reason is that your location decides which country list applies to you, so hiding it defeats the operator's own compliance checks. Other operators treat VPN use the same way: GG.BET may suspend accounts suspected of using VPNs or proxies to bypass jurisdictional restrictions⁷, and Crypto.Games can suspend an account, stop deposits and withdrawals, demand extra verification or close the account entirely if it suspects access from a restricted jurisdiction⁸.

Bots and automated systems are also banned, and accounts caught using them may be suspended or closed with all balances forfeited¹.

Dormant accounts have their own rule. If your account stays dormant for more than six months with a balance under $1, BetUS may close it and keep the balance¹. That is a low threshold, but it is worth clearing out small residual balances rather than leaving them.

The minimum age is 18, and BetUS asks you to confirm you are 18 or older when you sign up. If the gambling age in your country is higher than 18, that higher limit applies to you¹.
