What it means for players

The venue adds a 529-machine hall in Shima, a city on the Shima Peninsula in eastern Mie Prefecture, with both 4 yen and 1 yen pachinko stakes and 20 yen and 5 yen slot stakes¹. The mix of low-denomination pachinko (195 of 350 machines at 1 yen) and mostly 20 yen slots (160 of 179) indicates a hall weighted toward lower-stake pachinko play and standard-stake slots¹.

For visitors, the listed hours run from 9:00 to 24:00, and the site lists parking for 420 vehicles, a Wi-Fi spot, coin lockers and mobile phone chargers¹. Smoking is provided for through a smoking room and a separate heated-tobacco area¹. The page does not state entry rules, age limits, identification requirements or whether non-Japanese speakers are catered for; those details have not been reported on the store page¹.

Pachinko and slot parlors in Japan operate under the country's gambling rules, and the store page does not address the legal framework, prize limits or any restrictions on play¹. Background on how pachinko and other Asian games are regulated is set out in the guide to Asian gambling games, and the rules that apply to play in the country are covered in Can I gamble in Japan?.
