HKJC extends Early Payout service to all digital platforms

The Hong Kong Jockey Club's football betting arm, known as 足智彩 (HKJC Football), said its existing "派彩快" (Early Payout) service would be extended to all digital platforms on September 25, 2023, including the online betting service "投注區" and the club's three-in-one betting app¹.

The service lets bettors choose whether to settle a payout early, either locking in a payout amount or reducing a loss¹. It applies to designated single-match bets placed in pre-match sales and in-play betting for specified events, and bettors can settle early at the suggested amount shown on the Early Payout page before betting closes, including for matches that do not offer in-play betting¹.

The service is offered in two situations. For pre-match sales, if a match does not offer in-play betting, bettors can only use Early Payout before the match starts. For in-play matches, it covers pre-match bets and in-play bets on offer after the match has started, but it does not apply to first goalscorer, specials, same-game parlays, or cup-related bets such as qualification¹.

The club gave two worked examples, both based on a HK$1,000 stake. In the first, a home win bet at 2.06 on Liverpool against Arsenal, with Liverpool leading 2-1 in the first half, could be settled early for HK$1,510.1, though the bettor would not receive the bet's maximum payout of HK$2,060. In the second, a home win bet at 1.85 on Manchester City against Manchester United, with City trailing 1-2 in the first half, could be settled early for HK$531.7, against a maximum payout of HK$1,850¹. In both cases the final result does not affect the amount already settled¹.

To find eligible matches, bettors open the 足智彩 section of the three-in-one app and look for a green Early Payout icon to the right of the kick-off time in the "all matches" list¹. The club set out a five-step process:

• open the Early Payout page
• check the amount shown for an eligible bet
• press confirm
• see the "Early Payout accepted" message
• review settled records under the "settled" button¹
