Maruhan Mega City Kashiwa opens

The parlor Maruhan Mega City Kashiwa held its grand opening on 1 July 2023, according to the operator listing on minpachi.com. The same listing states the venue changed its trade name from Maruhan Kashiwa¹.

The hall is at 249-5 Jūyōji Aza, Kashiwa, Chiba prefecture, and trades from 10:00 to 22:45. It holds 572 pachinko machines and 653 slot machines. Numbered tickets are issued without the need for a membership card, distributed by lottery from 9:30¹.

The listing records historical event days as the 1st, 7th, 22nd of each month and dates where the month and day match, and gives average per-machine results on those days¹.

For slots, the average difference was +14 medals per machine across a sample of 99. For pachinko, the average difference was -911 balls per machine across a sample of 47¹.

The listing carries user ratings. Across all periods the overall score was 49 points from 13 ratings, with 2.6 for operations, 3.7 for customer service and 3.3 for facilities. Over the past year the overall score was 42.5 points from 2 ratings, with 2 for operations, 3.5 for customer service and 4 for facilities¹.

What it means for players

The venue is a pachinko and slot hall, not a casino, so the rules that apply to gambling in Japan are the ones that matter here. The listing shows stakes of 4 yen and 1 yen for pachinko and 21.73 yen and 5.43 yen for slots, with equal-value exchange rates listed for all four, and no daily cap on free replays. Prizes are exchanged at a separate counter outside the hall; the listing notes the hall and the prize exchange have no relationship with each other¹.

The event-day figures are historical averages from user-submitted samples, not guarantees, and several of the samples are very small. The 1st-of-month slot figure rests on a single sample, and the past-year ratings rest on two. Visitors arriving for a numbered ticket should note the 9:30 lottery start, which is before the 10:00 opening¹.
