Draws suspended and restored: what happened to Power 6/55, Max 4D and Keno

If you have been holding a Vietlott ticket since mid-2025 and wondering whether it is still worth anything, this is the section for you.

Vietlott suspended some draws and then dealt with the tickets that had already been sold. For Keno and Bingo18 tickets issued on July 1, 2025, the company announced a refund process. Customers bring their tickets to the point of sale that issued them and are refunded the full value they paid. Agents and points of sale collect the tickets, and Vietlott refunds them. The refund covered Keno draws 0243373 to 0243379 of July 1, 2025⁵.

The practical point: if you still have a paper ticket from that window, take it back to the shop that printed it. You do not need to prove anything beyond holding the ticket, and you get back exactly what you paid, not a prize.

Power 6/55 is running normally now. Draws take place at 18:00 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays each week, and you can watch them live on TodayTV (SCTV2) or on the Vietlott Facebook page⁶. You can buy up to six draws in advance on a single play slip, which is useful if you are traveling and will not be near a shop on draw night⁷.

Max 4D is no longer part of the current product line. Vietlott's own product list now reads Mega 6/45, Power 6/55, Max 3D and Max 3D+, Max 3D Pro, Keno and Bingo18⁸. If you see Max 4D advertised anywhere, it is not a current Vietlott game.

What Vietlott is and where it operates

Vietlott is Vietnam's state operator of self-selected, computer-generated lottery products, and it sells nationwide⁹. It is not a casino, a sportsbook or a betting exchange. It sells numbered draw tickets, and the draws are broadcast.

The company runs two distribution channels: terminal devices at sales points, and the phone channel through the Vietlott SMS app¹. There are 6,118 sales points across the country, and the network reaches 34 provinces and cities¹. The sales point locator on the Vietlott site lets you filter by province, and the list runs from An Giang and Bắc Ninh through to Vĩnh Long, taking in Hà Nội, Hồ Chí Minh, Đà Nẵng, Hải Phòng, Cần Thơ and most of the country's other major population centers¹⁰.

That coverage matters if you are traveling. You are unlikely to be more than a short ride from a sales point in any Vietnamese city, and the locator gives you street addresses. For example, in An Giang province alone the locator lists points at 128 Tôn Đức Thắng in Thoại Sơn, 113 CC Bắc Hà Hoàng Hổ in Long Xuyên, Đường Tôn Thất Đạm in An Châu and 100 Đường Tân Lộ Kiều Lương in Châu Đốc¹⁰.

One thing worth knowing if you are comparing Vietnam with its neighbors: some Vietnamese casinos admit Vietnamese citizens, who need a valid entry pass and must meet the eligibility conditions set for domestic players at licensed casinos in Vietnam¹¹. Vietlott is different. It is a lottery open to Vietnamese citizens, Vietnamese living abroad and foreigners who entered the country legally¹¹.

Games offered: Mega 6/45, Power 6/55, Max 3D, Keno and more

Vietlott's current line-up is seven products. Here is what each one is, in plain terms.

Minimum age: 18

Sources:¹²

Keno is the one that behaves differently from the rest. It runs from 06:00 and ends at least 21:55 every day, Monday to Sunday, with a draw every 10 minutes¹¹. Tickets sell continuously throughout each draw period, so you can walk into a shop, buy, and have a result within minutes¹¹. Each draw period selects 20 numbers out of a set from 01 to 80¹⁵.

Power 6/55 is the slower, bigger game. Draws are three nights a week at 18:00, and you can buy up to six draws ahead⁷.

Max 3D and Max 3D Pro are three-digit games rather than number-selection games, and both are sold at sales points and through the app¹³. LOTTO 5/35 works like a smaller Mega: five numbers from a 35-number pool¹⁷.

How to buy tickets: sales points and the Vietlott SMS app

There are two official ways to buy, and only two.

At a sales point. Walk in, take a play slip and a pencil from the counter, mark your numbers, and hand the slip to the salesperson. For Keno, the process is slightly different: you take the ticket and pay the entry value printed on the ticket to the salesperson³. Play slips and pencils are provided at retail points³. You can also buy up to six Power 6/55 draws in advance on one slip⁷.

Through the Vietlott SMS app. This is the first and only official phone lottery distribution channel in Vietnam¹. The official site is vietlott-sms.vn¹. The steps are: register, verify your account, then deposit money, after which you can pick and buy tickets¹. You need a MobiFone or Viettel mobile number to register¹.

If you play Max 3D by phone, note that mobile players must have both a staking account and a prize-receiving account¹³. That is the account your winnings are paid into, so make sure the details are correct before you buy.

Bingo18 is bought by phone through the Vietlott SMS app, and bets are confirmed by SMS from the number 9969¹⁶.

Checking your numbers. Every major game can be checked the same way. Take the ticket to a checkwin machine at a sales point and scan it, or check it on the Vietlott SMS app¹². Keno tickets can also be scanned at the point of sale¹¹. Results are posted on the Vietlott website, and for Power 6/55 and Max 3D you can watch the draw live on TodayTV (SCTV2) or the Vietlott Facebook page⁷.

Prizes: maximum jackpot and the 60-day claim deadline

The single most important number for any Vietlott ticket holder is 60. The claim period for a winning ticket is 60 days from the date the draw result is determined, and after that the ticket no longer has any claim value². Mega 6/45 uses the same 60-day window¹⁸.

There is a second timing rule that catches people out. Prize claims are accepted and paid at least 60 minutes after the results are officially announced on the Vietlott website². So if you scan your ticket the moment the draw ends and it looks like a winning one, you still have to wait an hour before anyone can process the claim.

How long payment takes. For tickets paid by an agent, the agent pays no later than five working days from the date Vietlott or the agent receives the prize payment request². Payment is by bank transfer into your receiving account².

Who pays what. The size of your prize decides who handles it:

• VND 10 billion or less: Vietlott authorizes the agent to pay²
• Over VND 10 billion to under VND 70 billion: the branch managing the area where the ticket was issued handles the claim and payment²
• VND 70 billion or more: the head office handles the claim and payment²

Phone tickets work slightly differently. For phone channel tickets worth VND 10 million or less, the agent pays automatically into your receiving account no later than five working days from the date the result is determined². For phone tickets worth over VND 10 million up to VND 10 billion, the agent sends a notice to your registered receiving account, and if you do not confirm or update the account within five days, the agent pays automatically into the registered account within the following five working days². For phone tickets worth over VND 10 billion, the head office receives the claim and pays within five working days of the request².

If you cannot claim in person. A ticket holder who cannot attend for a real reason, such as illness or a long business trip, may authorize a legal representative. The authorization must be in writing and confirmed by the commune, ward or town government where the ticket holder lives².

What makes a ticket valid. The ticket must be recorded on Vietlott's system before the ticket sales cutoff time set by the Ministry of Finance and before each product's participation rules take effect. It must not already be recorded as paid, it must be within the claim period, and your betting information must match your registered betting account information².

On the biggest prize. Vietlott does not publish a single record jackpot figure, so treat any specific "biggest ever" number you see online with caution. What the rules do state is a cap: the total value paid for a 10-digit double prize in a 20-number draw in one Keno drawing must not exceed VND 10 billion¹⁹. Keno's top single prize is VND 2 billion¹⁹. If there are five or fewer prizes in a Keno draw, each recipient receives VND 2 billion¹⁹.

If a dispute or complaint arises, the payment time is extended until the competent state authority reaches an official conclusion².

Who can play: the over-18 rule and nationwide coverage

Every Vietlott game sets the same age floor: 18 or older¹³. That applies to Mega 6/45, Power 6/55, Max 3D, Max 3D Pro, Keno and LOTTO 5/35 alike.

Eligibility is broader than age. To play Keno you must be a Vietnamese citizen, a Vietnamese person residing abroad, or a foreigner who legally entered Vietnam¹¹. Foreigners legally admitted to Vietnam may participate³. You must also not be restricted in your capacity for civil acts or have lost that capacity under the law¹¹.

The practical consequence of getting this wrong is not a fine. It is that you lose the prize. Vietlott reserves the right to refuse to pay rewards when the request comes from unqualified players³. Max 3D Pro and Bingo18 carry the same rule in plain terms: people not permitted to participate who play anyway, and win, can have their prize refused¹⁴.

So if you are a visitor, the test is simple. You are 18 or over, and you entered Vietnam legally. Bring your passport if you are claiming a prize, because your betting information has to match your registered account information².

Coverage is nationwide. Vietlott sells self-selected lottery products across the whole country¹, with 6,118 sales points in 34 provinces and cities¹. Whether you are in Hà Nội, Hồ Chí Minh, Đà Nẵng or a provincial town, there is a sales point within reach, and the locator on the Vietlott site will find it for you¹⁰.

Scam warning: Vietlott does not take advance payments

This is the section to read before you respond to any message that mentions Vietlott and money.

Vietlott has publicly warned that scammers are misusing its name and image to defraud customers. The schemes it has identified include revenue-task programs that promise commission, and fake Vietlott accounts running online scratch-card programs that demand fees and personal income tax before releasing a supposed prize⁴.

Three things are always true, and they are the fastest way to spot a fake:

• Vietlott does not operate revenue-running schemes⁴
• Vietlott does not require advance transfers of money, prize fees or personal income tax⁴
• Vietlott does not ask you to pay anything to release a prize

If a message asks you to transfer money, pay a fee, or pay tax before you receive a prize, it is not from Vietlott. The same applies to anyone offering you a "task" that pays commission and involves buying tickets or topping up an account.

The safe path is narrow and easy to remember. Buy tickets at official sales points or through the Vietlott SMS phone channel, and follow Vietlott's official Facebook page and website for news⁴. The official SMS site is vietlott-sms.vn¹. If you are unsure whether a message is genuine, call the customer care hotline before you do anything else.

Contacts and customer service

Vietlott's customer care hotline is 1900.55.88.89⁴. The main switchboard number is 024.62.686.818⁹, and the contact email is contact@vietlott.vn²⁰.

Use the hotline for anything involving a suspicious message, a ticket that will not scan, or a question about a claim. For prize claims, remember the timing rules: claims open at least 60 minutes after results are posted, and the window closes 60 days after the result is determined².
