License: issued by a regulator whose register we have not yet checked.

Key facts at a glance

Licenses and regulation

NetBet holds a license from a regulator whose public register we have not checked. That is the honest position. We cannot confirm the license number, the regulator's name, or whether the license is still active. If you are deciding whether to deposit, that gap matters more than anything else on this page.

Here is how to close it yourself in about ten minutes:

  1. Ask NetBet support for the license number and the name of the regulator.
  2. Go to that regulator's own website and search its public register.
  3. A real license appears there with the company name, the license number and the permitted activities.
  4. If support cannot give you a number, or the number does not appear on the regulator's site, treat that as a red flag.

For comparison, here is what a checkable license looks like at other operators in the same market.

OperatorLicense detail
CloudbetCuraçao license number OGL/2024/328/0599, published in its terms2
Betfair International PlcLicensed and regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority under number MGA/CRP/131/2006 for customers outside the UK, Australia and New Zealand3
RajabetsLicense number ALSI-202509014-FI14

Those are the kinds of details that appear in the terms at NetBet too.

A license is not a guarantee of fair play, but it does give you a regulator to complain to. Without a confirmed license, your only route if something goes wrong is the operator's own support desk.

Countries where NetBet accepts players

NetBet is not on its own restricted list for most Asian countries, and review sites list it as taking players from South Korea1. That is the practical starting point. It does not mean the site is legal where you live, and it does not mean your account will stay open.

Offshore operators publish restricted-country lists in their terms, and those lists change. Here is how three comparable operators draw theirs:

  • Cloudbet blocks players from China, Macau, Hong Kong, Singapore, Myanmar and North Korea, and says players must not be physically present in those countries when using the site, depositing or withdrawing2.
  • Rainbet blocks the United States, France, the Netherlands, Australia, Austria, Germany, the UK and Spain6.
  • 7BitCasino blocks a much longer list that includes China, Japan, Myanmar and North Korea for real-money play7.

NetBet's own restricted list was not available to us, so we cannot tell you which countries it blocks. The safe move is to open the terms page, search for "restricted countries", and read the list before you sign up. If your country is on it, do not deposit. If it is not, that still leaves the question of whether playing there is legal for you, which is the next section.

This is where the picture gets uneven, and where you need to check your own country rather than rely on a general answer.

China. Online football betting is illegal and treated as a criminal offense8. That is not a gray area. If you are in mainland China, do not use offshore betting sites.

Japan. Operating an online casino inside the country is illegal, but using an overseas-licensed online casino is not directly prohibited. It sits in a gray zone that the law does not clearly permit9. In practice, Japanese players do use offshore sites, and some operators support Japanese yen deposits and withdrawals9. That does not make it risk-free, and it does not mean the position will stay the same.

Philippines. The rules cut in an unusual direction. Philippine-licensed remote gaming platforms are barred from accepting bets from outside the country and must not be accessible outside the Philippines10. The same rule applies to the licensed e-sabong platform11. That restriction binds the operator, not the player. For players inside the Philippines, offshore sites are widely used, and one guide notes that players are free to place bets across international online casinos that accept players from the country12. The Philippines also has a large licensed domestic market, with hundreds of casinos found accepting Filipino players12.

South Korea. The position is different again. NetBet is not on its own restricted list for South Korea, and review sites list it as taking Korean players1. But that is not the same as saying online play is legal for Korean residents. If you are in South Korea, read our guide to online casinos in South Korea before you deposit anywhere.

India. There is no single national gambling law, and rules vary by state. Some offshore operators claim to operate legally in India and to comply with Indian gambling laws, but that is the operator's own claim, not a court ruling13. Treat it as marketing until you have checked your state's position.

The pattern across Asia is this: the operator's willingness to accept you and your legal position at home are two separate questions. Answer both before you deposit.

Games and betting markets

NetBet is a combined casino and sportsbook, which is the standard shape for offshore operators serving Asia. Comparable sites in the same market give you a sense of what to expect.

On the sports side, offshore operators typically cover 30 or more markets:

  • Cloudbet advertises more than 30 sports markets including soccer, basketball, tennis and esports, with live betting14.
  • GG.BET covers over 35 sports markets15.
  • 12BET's Malaysia site offers a sportsbook and casino under one account16.
  • Nextbet advertises boosted odds on its sportsbook1.

On the casino side, the range is wide. Nextbet lists more than 40 game brands across slots and casino1. Cloudbet runs a full casino alongside its sportsbook14. Roobet's terms describe games of skill, games of chance, games of risk, sports bets and esports17. Progressive jackpot slots from providers like NetEnt, including Mega Fortune, Divine Fortune and Hall of Gods, are common across the market18.

What we could not confirm is NetBet's own game list, its software providers, or its betting limits. Those details are not in the sources available to us. If a specific game or market matters to you, check the site directly before depositing, and confirm the maximum bet and maximum win on the games you plan to play.

One practical point for Asian players: game availability varies by country even within the same operator. A slot you can play from one country may be blocked from another because of the provider's own licensing rules. If a game will not load, that is usually why.

Payments: deposits and withdrawals

We could not confirm NetBet's own payment methods, currencies or limits from the sources available. What we can do is show you what comparable offshore operators in Asia offer, so you know what to ask about.

Deposit methods across the market typically include cards, e-wallets, bank transfer and crypto. TedBet lists BinanceCoin, AdvCash, AMEX, AstroPay, MasterCard, Neosurf, RapidTransfer, Ripple, Skrill, TRUSTLY, VenusPoint, Visa, eZeeWallet, TetherERC20, Bitcoin, Cardano, CashU, Discover, EcoPayz, EcoVoucher, ePayBG, EPS, Ethereum, GIROPAY, Inpay, iWallet, JCB, Neteller, PaySafecard and Litecoin, with availability varying by country of residence9. 4raBet supports bank transfer, e-wallets and cryptocurrency13. Nextbet supports USDT cryptocurrency1.

On currencies, Nextbet advertises local currency support1, and TedBet supports Japanese yen deposits and withdrawals9. If you want to avoid conversion fees, ask NetBet support whether your local currency is supported before you deposit.

On withdrawal speed, the market benchmark is fast. Cloudbet says withdrawals are typically completed in under 24 hours14. Xbet advertises 48-hour payouts19. Ask NetBet for its current timeframe for your chosen method.

Two rules that catch people out across the industry:

  1. Many operators require withdrawals to go back to the same method you deposited with. Roobet states that all fiat withdrawals must be done through the same payment method chosen when placing a deposit17.
  2. Third-party payments are usually banned. GG.BET prohibits them and requires deposits and withdrawals only through payment methods registered in your own name20. If you deposit from a friend's card or a shared wallet, expect the withdrawal to be blocked.

Some operators also charge processing fees. Cloudbet reserves the right to charge up to 5% on deposits and withdrawals to cover transaction costs2. Ask NetBet whether any fees apply to your method before you deposit.

Restrictions and account closures

Offshore operators enforce one account per person, and the rules are strict. Rainbet allows only one account and closes multiple accounts, locking and withholding any remaining funds6. Cloudbet allows one account per customer, IP address, household and verification phone number5. If you open a second account after a first one is closed, expect both to be shut and the balance to be gone.

Self-exclusion is available at most operators, and it is worth knowing how it works before you need it. Rainbet requires permanent account closure to be completed via customer support after a 90-day exclusion period expires6. If you self-exclude, you cannot simply reopen the account when you change your mind.

If gambling stops being fun, support is available. Singapore's National Problem Gambling Helpline and WebChat offers counseling services, self-exclusions and visit limits, family exclusions, third-party exclusions and exclusions by law21. Similar services exist across Asia, and using them is not a sign of weakness.

One last practical point. If you use a VPN to sign up from a country NetBet blocks, or to hide your real location, expect the account to be closed and the balance to be locked when the operator finds out. That is standard practice, and it is the most common way players lose money at offshore sites.

Common Questions

Is NetBet licensed?

We could not confirm NetBet's license number or regulator from a public register, so treat the license as unverified. Ask support for the license number and the regulator's name, then search that regulator's own public register. A real license appears there with the company name and permitted activities. If support cannot give you a number, treat that as a red flag.

Can players in Asia open a NetBet account?

NetBet is not on its own restricted list for most Asian countries, and review sites list it as taking players from South Korea. That does not make it legal where you live. Check your local rules first, because the operator's terms and your country's law are two separate questions.

Who owns NetBet?

We could not confirm the owning company from the sources available. NetBet does not appear in the license registers we checked, and no ownership document was available. If ownership matters to you, ask support directly for the company name and registration number before depositing.

What payment methods does NetBet accept?

We could not confirm NetBet's own payment list from the sources available. Comparable offshore operators in Asia accept cards, e-wallets, bank transfer and crypto, and NetBet is widely listed as a crypto-friendly site. Confirm the exact methods for your country with support before you deposit.

Does NetBet accept players from the Philippines?

NetBet is not on its own restricted list for the Philippines, so sign-up is likely possible. Playing at an offshore site is a separate question from whether it accepts you. Philippine-licensed remote gaming platforms are barred from taking bets from outside the country, but that rule binds the operator, not you.

How long do NetBet withdrawals take?

We could not confirm NetBet's own withdrawal times from the sources available. Comparable offshore operators process crypto withdrawals in under 24 hours and card or bank withdrawals in one to three business days. Ask support for the current timeframe for your chosen method before you deposit.
