Sports Toto resumes services and sales under overhauled operation

Sports Toto, the sports betting product issued by the Seoul Olympic Memorial National Sports Promotion Foundation and operated under contract by Korea Sports Leisure Co., Ltd., resumed refund and exchange services at 00:00 on 21 April 2026 and restarted sales at 14:00 the same day, according to the operator¹. Sales had been halted from 19:00 on 13 April, with all services suspended from 00:00 on 14 April for a system replacement¹. The operator said the changes apply from the rounds after sales resume, and that the timing could be partly adjusted depending on system conditions¹.

The overhaul covers three areas: match numbering and betting slips, the round structure, and the range of matches open for purchase¹. Proto match numbers move from three digits to four digits, and the record-style product moves from letter codes (A to X) to the same four-digit number system, unifying how matches are identified across products¹. Bettors must use the changed betting slips after the overhaul¹.

The round schedule is also being standardized. Previously the win-style product ran three rounds a week and the record-style product two; after the change both run three rounds a week¹. Rounds are split into three types, with sales each round running from 08:00 until 23:00 on the last day of that period¹.

• Early-week round: sales Monday to Tuesday, including Wednesday matches
• Midweek round: sales Wednesday to Thursday, including Friday matches
• Weekend round: sales Friday to Sunday, including the following Monday's matches

Because of this structure, matches on some days, Wednesday and Friday, may appear in two adjacent rounds, so customers need to check which matches each round covers when buying¹.

The range of matches open for purchase is widened: previously only matches played within the round period could be bought, but after the change matches played after the round closes are also included¹. A new football first-half product is added to the win-style product, based on the result at the end of the first half, covering first-half win-draw-loss, handicap and over-under types, and it is added to existing win-style matches rather than run as a separate round¹.

What it means for players

The suspension that began on 13 April is over: refunds and exchanges were available again from midnight on 21 April and sales from 14:00 that day¹. Anyone holding an unsettled or refundable ticket from before the shutdown can process it again¹.

Because match numbers and betting slips have changed, old-format slips are no longer the ones to use, and the four-digit numbering now applies to both the win-style and record-style products¹. The record-style product gains a third weekly round, matching the win-style product, so there are more round deadlines per week to track¹. The purchase window now reaches matches played after a round closes, which means a single round can cover matches beyond its own sales period¹. Wednesday and Friday matches may sit in two adjacent rounds, so the matches included in a round should be checked before buying¹.

The football first-half product is new and is attached to existing win-style matches rather than sold as its own round¹. The operator's site states that minors and people connected to the sports events on which bets are offered may not buy tickets or collect winnings, and that the official online sales site is Betman¹.

What happens next

The operator said the overhauled rules apply from the rounds after sales resume, and that the exact timing may be partly adjusted depending on system conditions¹. No further dates have been reported¹.
