Singapore Pools said on June 3 that it will launch a new fixed-prize game called Toto Match, starting with the June 12 draw1. Sales open on June 10 at all Singapore Pools branches and authorized retail outlets1.
Toto Match pays a fixed prize amount per dollar bet, so a higher bet produces a bigger payout, unlike the traditional TOTO game, where players can win a jackpot1. Players can bet under two game types, either one or both1.
In the first game type, players pick between two and four numbers from one to 49 and win if all their selected numbers are among the six winning numbers for that TOTO draw1. For every dollar bet, the prizes are $50 for two matched numbers, $500 for three numbers and $7,000 for four numbers1.
In the second game type, players choose one number from one to 49 and win $30 for every dollar bet if it matches the additional number for that draw1. A player who bets $2 on the match additional number game would receive $60 if the chosen number is drawn1. Players must place a Toto Match bet to be eligible for a prize; a normal TOTO bet does not qualify1.
| Game type | Selection | Prize per dollar bet |
|---|---|---|
| Match numbers | 2 numbers from 1 to 49 | $50 |
| Match numbers | 3 numbers from 1 to 49 | $500 |
| Match numbers | 4 numbers from 1 to 49 | $7,000 |
| Match additional number | 1 number from 1 to 49 | $30 |
Singapore Pools said it found growing interest in fixed odds-style games, and that some bettors were turning to illegal operators for such games because of the lack of many legally available fixed-odds bet types1.
"With the introduction of Toto Match, we aim to offer our customers a safe, regulated and trusted channel to participate in fixed-odds betting."
The operator said the launch comes in "response to consumer preferences for a fixed-payout model in the Toto game"1.
What it means for players
Toto Match is a separate bet from the ordinary TOTO game run by Singapore Pools1. A normal TOTO ticket does not qualify for a Toto Match prize, so players who want the fixed payouts must place a Toto Match bet specifically1. Because prizes are fixed per dollar bet rather than drawn from a shared pool, the payout depends on the amount staked and on how many numbers are selected, not on how many other players win1. The two game types can be played separately or together1. Toto Match sits alongside the other games covered in our guide to the lottery in Singapore, and the mechanics of fixed-prize draws are set out in our explainer on how lotteries work.
What happens next
Sales for Toto Match begin on June 10 at Singapore Pools branches and authorized retail outlets1. The first draw under the new game is the June 12 draw1. No further dates have been reported.
