The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced the official start of airing of the PCSO Lottery Draw over IBC-13 and D8TV starting Dec. 31, 20241. The arrangement is a joint effort of PCSO, the Intercontinental Broadcasting Corp. and Digital 8 TV, described as a way to expand the reach of the Sweepstakes' public services and give more Filipinos the chance to follow their favorite lotto games1.

The broadcasts cover Ultra Lotto 6/58, Grand Lotto 6/55, Super Lotto 6/49, Mega Lotto 6/45 and Lotto 6/42, and also carry 6D, 4D, 3D and 2D Lotto1. Draws air live every day, Monday to Sunday, in three time slots: 2 p.m., 5 p.m. and 9 p.m.1. According to the Manila Times, this is the first time since the lotto draws started airing on TV decades ago that viewers and bettors can watch the program by tuning in to both the analog and digital IBC-13, D8TV and IBC DWAN 1206AM channels1. Livestreams are available on the official online platforms, including the websites, Facebook pages and YouTube channels of PCSO, IBC-13 and DWAN 12061.

At a press conference in Makati on December 18, 2024, PCSO Assistant General Manager Atty. Lauro Patiag, IBC-13 President and CEO Jimmie Policarpio, and Digital 8 Inc. (D8TV) President Jay Ruiz were present2. Policarpio said a public bidding was held and IBC-13 met and complied with the requirements to obtain the partnership, while Ruiz said D8TV will provide the tools and equipment for the production of the raffle draws2. Patiag said PCSO has attained Level 2 certification for responsible gaming and is targeting Level 3 accreditation next2.

IBC-13's digital terrestrial TV (DTT) transmitters launched in December in Baguio, covering Northern Luzon, and in Davao, serving Southeastern Mindanao, joining existing DTT stations in Iloilo and Cebu, which broadcast to the Visayas1. IBC-13's new shows set to launch in the first quarter of 2025 include Cooltura, Legally Speaking, Sayanista, Kalye Sining and Barangay Trese2.

What it means for players

The change gives people who play PCSO Lotto Games, Prizes and Draw Days more ways to watch the draws they have entered, including free-to-air television and official online streams, rather than relying on a single channel. Because the same draws now run on several platforms at fixed times, players anywhere in the country with a TV signal or an internet connection can follow results as they happen. The draws remain the official PCSO draws; the broadcast arrangement does not change how lottery draws are conducted or who may play. Anyone who cannot watch live can still check results through the same official channels, and players should treat results that appear only on unofficial pages with caution, as lottery scams and illegal lotteries that use official results often copy genuine draws. What happens next

PCSO is targeting Level 3 responsible gaming accreditation, according to Patiag2. IBC-13's new programs, including Cooltura, Legally Speaking, Sayanista, Kalye Sining and Barangay Trese, are set to launch in the first quarter of 20252. The Manila Times reports that the digitalization of several other areas nationwide will follow the Baguio and Davao DTT launches1. No further changes to the draw schedule have been reported.
