The Warren Club will no longer provide hard copy statements of account to members with effect from 1 January 2025, the club management said in a notice dated 27 November 20241. The change is part of the club's "Go Green" initiatives and its stated commitment to environmental sustainability1.

Members will instead access statements online through the club's Members' Portal1. The notice says members log in with their Membership Number and Password and then click on the "MONTHLY STATEMENT" tab to view statements1. An email notification will be sent every month when an e-statement is ready for viewing1.

Members who want to keep receiving paper statements by mail will be charged an administrative fee of $2.18 per statement per month1. The notice does not state the currency of that amount beyond the dollar sign, and it does not say how members can opt in to the paid paper service or how the fee will be collected; those details have not been reported1.

The club framed the move as an environmental measure:

"As part of the Club's efforts in our Go Green initiatives and commitment to environmental sustainability, we will no longer provide hard copy statements of account to members with effect from 1 January 2025."
The Warren Club management, notice dated 27 November 20241

The notice is signed "The Club Management" and is addressed to members1. It does not describe any change to membership terms beyond statement delivery, and it does not mention any effect on betting accounts, balances or payouts; no such effect has been reported1.

What it means for players

For members of The Warren Club, the practical change is where account records come from. From 1 January 2025, the default record of account activity is the online statement in the Members' Portal, and a monthly email tells members when it is ready1. Anyone who relies on a mailed paper statement to track activity, reconcile balances or keep records will need to use the portal instead, or pay $2.18 per statement per month to keep the mailed version1.

Members who do not use the portal and do not pay the fee will have no paper statement arriving by post, so the monthly email notification becomes the prompt to check the account1. The notice does not say whether past paper statements will still be issued, whether statements can be downloaded or printed from the portal, or what happens to members who do not have an email address on file; those points have not been reported1.

The club's notice concerns statements of account only. It does not change how members place bets or how winnings are paid, and no change to those processes has been reported1. For general background on betting in the region, see Horse Racing and Betting in Asia and Can I Gamble in Singapore?.

What happens next

The change takes effect on 1 January 20251. The notice gives no further dates, no deadline for opting in to paid paper statements and no end date for the administrative fee1.
