The Royal Turf Club of Thailand, known for the Nang Loeng racecourse, has picked Nong Chok as the likely first site for The Royal Siam Haven, a 200 billion baht entertainment complex it is planning with Royal Sport Complex Co (RSC) and four foreign partners from South Korea, the United States and China1. Patvee Surin, an executive director of the club, told Matichon Online that two sites remain under consideration, Klong Toey port and Nong Chok, and that Nong Chok is expected to proceed first because Klong Toey would take considerably longer1.

Patvee said the highlight would be a 165 storey tower, described as the tallest and taller than Dubai, along with a ski slope, and that the exact location within Nong Chok was not being disclosed yet1. He said the project would definitely go ahead and that full details would be revealed within two months1.

Three sites had earlier been considered: more than 1,000 rai at Nong Chok, 2,000 rai at Lat Krabang and more than 2,300 rai at Klong Toey port1. The complex is described as including a racecourse, clubhouse, golf course, yacht club, six star hotel, sports complex, luxury restaurants, a theater, a hospital, wellness facilities, a learning center and a legal casino in the future1.

Ariyathat Rattanasutthaphonbul, vice chairman of the club and an executive of RSC, said the project would take seven years, with the first year covering site selection, design and legal steps such as an environmental impact report and construction permits1. Construction is expected to start in late 20251. Development is split into three phases: a 1,250 rai racecourse and clubhouse first, then a hotel, wellness facilities and a golf course, then a full legal entertainment complex under the government's policy1.

What it means for players

Thailand has no legal casino at present, and the sources describe the casino element of The Royal Siam Haven only as a future component tied to a government policy on legal entertainment complexes1. No operating date, licensing framework, entry rules, game list or tax treatment for a casino at the site has been reported. Until those details are published, the practical position for locals, expats and visitors in Thailand is unchanged: the complex is a proposed development, not a place anyone can currently gamble. More on the current rules is in Can I Gamble in Thailand? and on how Asian casino resorts are regulated and accessed in Casinos and Integrated Resorts in Asia.

What happens next

Construction is expected to begin in late 2025, with the overall project timeline given as seven years1.
