Japan or the Land of the Rising Sun is a beautiful city to visit, to explore and to live in. The mountainous country located on the northwest of the Pacific Ring of Fire and shares maritime borders with the Philippines, South and North Korea, China, Taiwan, Russia, and the Northern Mariana Islands. The county has several thousands of islands, with Hokkaido, Kyushu, Honshu, and Shikoku as the four biggest. Japan’s neighbouring countries include Russia, China, and Korea.

Japan’s area is similar to California and Germany. Its geography is composed mainly of mountains and forests. In terms of political structure, the country is divided into 8 regions and 47 prefectures.
