If you want to participate in these events, you need to play at a professional level because you will face great players in the tournaments. Therefore, it would be best to start at a starter level and work your way up to become a professional gamer. To get you motivated, here are the top eSports tournaments for this year.

Top ESports Events to Watch Out For

2021 FIFAe Club World Cup

One of the most famous online tournament games is the FIFAe World Cup, organized by EA and FIFA, which also features representatives of football clubs. All the best organizations and clubs of the world will meet at the FIFAe Club World Cup after they finish their online qualification.

2021 VCT Challengers 2 Stage 1

Another exciting eSports tournament this year is the 2021 Valorant Champions Tour (VCT). The tournament has three competition levels, the Challengers, Masters, and Champions. The Challengers level is the first level to qualify for the Masters' competition. Players in different regions must win the Challengers level.

RLCS Season X – Winter: North American Major

The developer of RLCS Season X, Rocket League Esports, features various competitions that will happen in Fall, Winter, and Summer. These seasonal events feature regional events that will lead to an international main competition. Twelve teams will play in a Double Elimination Bracket as part of the Group Stage in the Winter tournament. The losing teams in their brackets will have to reset opponents from the winners' bracket in the Grand Finals.

2021 VCT Masters 1 Stage 1

The VCT Masters 1 Stage 1 presents the best teams from different regions, who came out winners of the Challengers events. All the teams will compete in qualifying for the Champions event.

2021 Liga Pro EFootball

FIFA has a tournament that happens daily called the Liga Pro. The tournament begins with a round-robin stage until they reach a single-elimination bracket. The  Electronic Leagues are responsible for organizing the Liga Pro eFootball.

2021 King Pro League Spring

China's premier Kings of Glory tournament showcases the best teams in the region to play the King Pro League. Before the official start of the season, there will be a single round-robin in best-of-one for all teams participating. The top six teams of the pre-season will have a place in Group S, and the other 6 teams will go to Group A, then the bottom teams will go to Group B. Each group stage has three rounds, then the playoffs between the best teams.

2021 LPL Pro League Season 1

Organized by Let’s Play Live (LPL), there are three seasons every year of professional Australia / New Zealand / Oceania Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) events. The tournament showcases best-of-three playoffs, then to the best-of-five grand finals.

EPIC League Season 3

The Dota 2 EPIC League Season 3 showcases CIS teams and 16 European teams that compete for the prize pool of $100,000. The tournament has 16 invited teams that are already playing in a group stage. The top eight teams will proceed to Division 1, and the last eight teams will go to Division 2. There will be a double-elimination bracket on every division’s playoffs, and it will feature best-of-three matches, then a best-of-five finals match.

2021 WardiTV Winter Championship

Organized by WardiTV, the Winter Championship is actually a Starcraft2 tournament that features famous players from around the world. It comes with a preliminary stage consisting of a group stage, followed by the playoffs stage. After the preliminaries, teams will play a double-elimination bracket in best-of-five matches in the main tournament.

2021 Operation League MY/SG/PH/ID Season 2

The Operation League hosts four Asian countries where Ubisoft and MET Event orchestrates the tournament. The Operation League events happen in different countries in different seasons, which features two groups with four teams each playing round-robin games. The top teams will compete in a best-of-five match in the finals.

2021 Elisa Nordic Championship

Organized by dust2.dk and Elisa Sports, the 2021 Elisa Nordic Championship is an online tournament for Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland. Players can participate in the group stage in January and February, followed by the playoffs in March.

2021 WESG Latin America Brazil Finals

An offline event organized by Grupo Globo and V3A, the WESG Latin America Brazil Finals features Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament. It is a best-of-three single-elimination event.

2021 ESL Pro League 13

ESL’s premier league for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive in 2021 is the 13th season of the ESL Pro League. This European tournament features four single round-robin scenes for a group stage. The winners of the group stage will progress to the Play-in, then proceed to the semifinals. Finally, a best-of-five series will be waiting for the top winners in the grand finals.

2021 Dreamhack Open 44

Another online tournament that occurs every month, the Dreamhack Open 44, showcases Counter-Strike matches organized by DreamHack. All games are entirely online, where all participating players will compete in their own homes. This tournament is a segment of the ESL Pro Tour, where there are also versions for North and South America.

2021 Master Tour

The Philippines will host the third season of the Asia Pacific Predator League. The event will have eleven teams coming from ten different countries in the APAC region. As qualifiers, each country will have their matches before the main event to determine who will represent them. 

2021 eChampions League

The organizers from EA came up with the 2021 eChampions League, a FIFA21 tournament as part of the FIFA21 Global Series. There will be eight teams to compete for the bulk prize of money, and the top three competitors will qualify for the FIFA21 Global Series European Regional PlayStation 4 playoffs.

LCS 2021 Summer

The LCS 2021 Summer season is North America’s professional League of Legends event. Ten teams are competing to have a spot for the LCS 2021 Championship.

One Esports Dota 2 World Pro Invitational is a tournament for professional players in Jakarta, Indonesia, to show their skills in LAN DOTA 2.
